🍔 Double Cheese Smash Burger — Full Recipe
✅ Ingredients (2 burgers)
For the patties:
250g ground beef (80% meat / 20% fat)
Salt
Black pepper
Garlic powder (optional)
1 tbsp butter or oil (for cooking)
For assembling:
4 slices cheddar cheese
2 soft burger buns
Pickles (sliced)
1 small onion (thinly sliced or diced)
Butter to toast the buns
For smash burger sauce:
3 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp pickles juice (or chopped pickles)
1 pinch smoked paprika (optional)
🔥 Preparation Steps
1️⃣ Make the smash sauce
Mix mayo + ketchup + mustard + pickle juice + paprika.
Set aside.2️⃣ Form the meat balls
Divide the beef into 4 equal balls (~60g each).
Don’t press, don’t season yet.
3️⃣ Heat the pan
Use a cast-iron or stainless steel pan.
Heat it very hot.4️⃣ Smash the patties
Add a little butter or oil to the pan.
Place two meat balls, add a square of baking paper on top, and smash hard with a spatula into thin patties.
Season with salt + pepper + garlic powder.
Cook until edges get crispy (1–2 min).
Flip.
5️⃣ Add the cheese
Place cheddar on each patty.
Lap them together in pairs (2 patties per burger).
6️⃣ Toast the buns
Spread butter on the inside of the buns.
Toast them in the pan until golden.
7️⃣ Assemble the burger
Bottom bun → smash sauce → pickles → onions → double cheesy patties → top bun.
